Haapupuni is a quiet town, mainly animated by visitors intrigued by the Blower's Hole and the three waterfalls of Faarumai. A sort of tunnel formed by the brutal cooling of the lava, the Blower's Hole is a lavatube, perhaps the most famous in the area. Not far from there, a road runs inland and leads to the three Faarumai waterfalls. The first, that of Vaimahutu, is already visible; the roar of the two others, which are very close, titillates the visitor's ear but were unfortunately not accessible at the end of 2019. The setting, in any case, is truly enchanting.
