JURY'S BIRTHPLACE

The house dates back to 1826. It was one of the first in the village to be built of stone and covered with a thatched roof. In the main room, the people of the village gathered around the grandfather of Jurčič who was a storyteller. Shoemaking activities. Access to the cellar was through the kitchen, which is unusual. Further on is a much smaller traditional wooden house. For almost a hundred years, the inhabitants of the village have been putting on a play adapted from the work of Jurčič which is performed outdoors in the summer.
