HACIENDA SAN ISIDRO

This property, owned by the Varela family, produces one of the best rums in the country, the Abuelo rum, but also the most popular alcoholic drink, the Seco Herrerano, a real treat! An oxcart awaits you at the entrance of the hacienda. In the distillery, you will learn the different steps of rum and seco production: extraction from sugar cane, fermentation, distillation and tasting of course! In high season, the activity is more intense and the visit is even more interesting.
