FK RUBIN KAZAN
The Rubin Kazan is currently one of the best Russian clubs. Eighth of the championship in 2017, it continues in the First League since 2003 and has made appearances in League Europa (2005, 2006) and Champions League (2009, 2010), even paying the luxury of beating Barça at home in 2009. And because sport and local politics are always good, the current president of Rubin is an important tatarstanese businessman, son of the former president of Tatarstan Mintimar Chayeev. Before he was, it was Ilsur Metsin, the mayor of Kazan. The club, financially well-equipped, hires quite a bit abroad (especially French Yann M 'Vila, who left in January 2018). And unlike St. Petersburg, where nationalist ultras tend to see this phenomenon as a threat, Kazan's multicultural tradition, and the various origins of its ultras make the club's opening very well lived.
