Important center of spirituality in Romanesque and Gothic art with a terrace with a beautiful view

A landmark of the Piedmont region, this incredible abbey perched at an altitude of 962 m is well worth the uphill climb. Founded at the end of the 10th century, it was an important center of spirituality and a crossroads of cultural exchange until the 14th century. Today's basilica reflects the gradual transformation of Romanesque art into Gothic. Admire the 11th-century choir, the beautiful frescoes, the oratories, the guesthouse that once welcomed pilgrims and the terrace with its magnificent views.

A voir absolument !
