Located in a splendid valley, this city, which is even further away, requires a minimum of 2 days of travel. The small station suffers from its isolation, but is still accessible by air, thanks to North Coast Aviation. A guesthouse is sometimes open or it is possible to sleep in the school. A 3 hour walk leads to a village where one can see a mummy. In addition to the mummies, the main interest of this route is the isolation of the villages crossed, especially after Menyamya, where you get into a truly remote Papua from the world… To organize this type of travel yourself, it will take a great deal of patience and adaptability. Therefore, it is recommended to be assisted by the Tourist Bureau of Lae or by Ms. Kwina Ambang, who manages the Momahi guesthouse (++675 475 1366).
