You have now reached the eastern coast of Saint Lucia, which joins the Atlantic Ocean. This part of the island is much less touristic because it is very exposed to the winds and thus reputed to be more hostile. First stop on this Atlantic coastline: Micoud. This small village takes its name from the Baron de Micoud, French governor of Saint Lucia in the 18th century. There is nothing very interesting in the village itself, except for the tropical gardens of Latille and Mamiku, located a few kilometers from the center, which are worth a visit. The bay of Praslin (Frigate Islands National Reserve) and that of Fond d'Or are also worth visiting.
