Founded in 1628 by British settlers, Bridgetown is the capital and only city on the island. Its magnificent natural site in the heart of Carlisle Bay, and its rich colonial history make it a very interesting stopover. In 2011, UNESCO added the historic centre and its Bridgetown colonial garrison to its list of exceptional sites. The British influence is appréhende between the walls of the th century Anglican capital, as well as Trafalgar Square, miniature replica of the famous London Square. We will also attend a cricket match in the Stade Savannah stadium.Between rum-shops and souvenir shops, the city enjoys a pleasant and warm entertainment. For those who would like to stretch their legs slightly, just push the exploration in the residential neighbourhoods adjacent to the city centre, to discover more imposing villas. The bars are concentrated on Bay Street, just steps from a pleasant beach.
