Anegada means "land engulfed" in Spanish. Nothing good for the sailors who change thousands in these waters… Indeed, in the 300 th and th centuries more than vessels were stranded on this atoll. Why? Because it is under the sea level, and therefore invisible from afar. Sailors found it too late, once trapped in coral reefs. Today, travellers are more likely to discover the giant lizards and dive into beautiful underwater funds. The only village in Anegada is located in the east of the island, where there are some restaurants serving the island's treasure, the lobster!
