Travel Guide Lagunas Miscanti Y Miñique

Following the road to Argentina at Paso Sico, one reaches the lagoons of Miscanti and Miñique, one of the sectors of the Los Flamencos reserve. The visit is usually made via private excursions that will also take you to the neighbouring Chaxa lagoon and the Atacama salar. They are surrounded by paja brava, the emblematic plant of the Atacama desert, which weaves a magnificent yellow crown around them. The show is stunning and offers beautiful multicoloured variations. Miñique also welcomes its share of pink flamingos. Note that we are at the foot of the Miscanti (5,622 m altitude) and Miñique (5,910 m) cerros .
