The Sultanate's largest mosque is an impressive example of Islamic architecture, with four minarets dominating the shopping districts of Kiarong and Kiulap. This majestic building was built in 1992 to celebrate the silver jubilee of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. At its inauguration, it is said that the Sultan distributed to each of the guests a prayer rug set with gold thread... It is particularly worth the trip after dark.
