This traditional tavern promises a pleasant break under the beautiful pergola that shades the courtyard. The cuisine offers classic dishes that are genuinely fresh, unlike many of the touristy restaurants in the area. The menu is limited but tasty, and you can sample some fine local wines. As this is a very popular address, it's best to book in the evening, especially in high season. Opt for the tables on the street to watch the world go by, or for the inner courtyard if you're looking for a little peace and quiet. Good value for money.

We ended up there again this evening, as it seems that there is nowhere to eat in Kos in April, apart from the touristic "fast-food" outlets. Yet again we enjoyed a splendid meal, good wine and great service.
The value for money is great: 5 dishes and a couple of carafes of wine for less than €50!
A* no wonder it's full of locals! Ευχαριστώ πολύ! Γειά μας!
Food is delicious! So many amazing dishes to share. The bouyiourdi or "Billet Doux" is a personal favourite, but the puréed aubergine, smoked saganaki, and feta in filo - "cheese pie" are all nostimo!
House wine is delicious, both evenings my companion and I have had a litro and a half of the house red, very light, yet very satisfying.
We have also had a lot of laughter reading the responses this restaurant has given to those who have given 1* reviews. Brilliant!
Ich kann diese Taverne nur empfehlen, da die Speisen auch optisch liebevoll angerichtet werden.
