Located 25 km from the city center, the airport is a major gateway to Hunan. It serves Asian destinations such as Bangkok, Seoul and Tokyo, as well as several Chinese cities with direct flights to Lijiang (2h35, return from 1,000 RMB), Sanya (2h25, return from 1,600 RMB) and Guangzhou (1h30, return approx. 2,500 RMB). To reach the city center, buses (45 min, 16 RMB), cabs (100 RMB) and a maglev train to Changsha Sud station (10 min, 20 RMB) are available.
