Gaël and Fatima transformed the Toit de May'hote into Effet Mer in July 2020. The restaurant, which requires reservations, now offers à la carte dishes (fish specialties) and various options depending on the day: gourmet meal on Wednesdays, special sushi night on Thursdays, tapas night and open stage on Fridays and Saturdays, but also tea room from 3 to 6 pm from Wednesday to Saturday and afterwork from 3 to 6 pm. Originality: l'Effet Mer also offers the CBD option! It goes with pastries as well as with scallops, original. 3 rooms on the spot.

A 1/4 d'heure de Mamoudzou dans la direction du sud de l'île. Une très grande maison qui propose différentes chambres, dont certaines avec vue sur le lagon. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, climatisées et à prix très abordables. Il est possible de préparer ses repas dans une belle cuisine commune et de les prendre sur une grande terrasse qui domine le lagon, C'est magnifique. Le seul hic est la montée pour atteindre le gite qui est chaotique. On y croise la population locale qui grimpe à pied, ce qui fait prendre la réalité de la vie d'une partie de la population qui vit à Mayotte. Le gite est tenu par des hôtes simples et charmants avec qui il est facile de discuter. Un endroit à recommander
