The tourist area is located in the northeast part of the island. Here, independent hotels and restaurants, as well as clubs and other tour operators, are lined up along the beaches and the palm grove. On the other side of the road, sedentary merchants offer pottery, carpets and souvenirs to lazy customers. There is a lot of building going on, especially around Midoun, as the rest of the island is not buildable (for the moment). Some hotels do not directly overlook the beach, and you will have to cross the road to go dip your feet in the sea. Although the beaches are beautiful, it is an "out of ground" Tunisia that you will visit here!
