Travel Guide Reserva Campo Iris

The Campo Iris Nature Reserve, with an area of 3,500 hectares, is located in the Mariscal Estigarribia district, between the Teniente Agripino Enciso and Médanos del Chaco National Parks, in a transition zone between the Chaco seco and the sand dunes of the Médanos del Chaco. Campo Iris is owned by Guyra Paraguay, one of the most active environmental NGOs in Paraguay, which manages several reserves. Campo Iris has a fragile savannah-pasture-brush vegetation, a habitat for endangered animals such as puma, jaguar, taguá and guanaco.
