Travel Guide Laguna Capitán

Located about thirty kilometres from Loma Plata, Laguna Capitán is a nature reserve, administered by the Chortitzer cooperative, of the Colonia Menno de Loma Plata. It is part of the Riacho Yakaré Sur wetland, like Campo Maria and Chaco Lodge, which has many saltwater lagoons. A popular birdwatcher's spot, no less than 288 species of birds have been recorded here, many of which are migratory in the spring and fall.
