VIRGEN DEL ROSARIO

Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Our Lady of the Rosary) is one of the many denominations of the Virgin Mary. She is the patron saint of many cities around the world, and in Paraguay, of Itauguá, Luque, Lambaré, or Coronel Oviedo, among others. It is celebrated on the first weekend of October (the official date is October 7), with masses and important processions, where the Virgin is adorned with a great ñanduti (in Itauguá or Luque, among others), concerts, folk dances or equestrian shows.
