BATIK CARIBOU

The th century Romney Manor, a sugar plantation, is now known for his textile shop, surrounded by lush gardens. Located in the west of Basseterre, Caribelle Batik offers the opportunity of a trip in the past, along the ruins of mills, through the virgin forest. In particular, he learned that Lord Romney was the first landowner to liberate his slaves on the island, against the advice of the British Parliament in 1834.
