The trail links the region's main towns and tourist attractions, offering a total immersion in the industrial past and thriving biodiversity of its nature reserves. Initiated as part of the region's application to UNESCO's Biosphere programme, the Minett Trail celebrates the shared identity of a territory in perpetual transformation. The route passes through former mining areas transformed into nature reserves, bearing witness to the regenerative power of nature.
