The immense palm grove is located about fifteen kilometres from Guelmim, on the road to Assa. You can see on your right the superb gardens of one of the many royal residences; avoid getting too close or taking pictures. The place is restful. Everywhere, irrigation canals and low adobe walls mark out the plantations of barley, corn and other cereal crops. You have to cross the palm grove from one end to the other to find the spring around which many children play quietly. The population of the region lives mainly from agriculture, especially from the production of dates.
