Take Caracoles street, cross the bridge and take the old Calama road. Turn left after 3 km in the direction of Sequitor and then, at km 4, turn left again in the direction of Coyo. Continue along the road that leads to the desert. You will pass a football field and arrive at km 9, the site of the oldest settlement in the valley (800 BC). Today, this archaeological site is of unprecedented value and has been preserved by the sand that has covered it over the years. But you will only see the upper parts of the dwellings: only a portion of the site has been excavated.
