Lipton's Seat is named after the most famous tea planter in the British Empire, Sir Thomas Lipton. This small observation platform now houses a statue of the Scottish baron sitting on a bench and offers a stunning view of the surrounding area. It is indeed from here that he watched over his plantations. It can be reached by climbing about 7 km through the beautiful tea plantations. It is best to get there early in the morning to watch the sun rise over the hills and to have a chance to see the tea pickers at work.
