An unofficial market in the heart of the city where, in the middle of the shops selling gems, the many hawkers call out to customers in the street, their business in their pockets. If the experience of a stroll here is amusing, nevertheless beware of the swindle. The stones, mainly sapphires, very often presented in matchboxes, may or may not be cut, but are probably of little or no value.
