FÊTE DE LA SAINT-GEORGES DE NOVO BRDO

During the Holy George, on 6 May in the Gregorian calendar (or on 23 April in the Julian calendar, still followed by the Orthodox Church), the families find themselves for a huge picnic at the foot of the fortress. Folkoriques dances and dances complete the festivities. This feast, shared by Muslims as well as Orthodox and Catholic Christians, finds its pagan roots in the celebration of nature renaissance in the spring.
