The National Museum of Kikinda, housed in a building dating from 1839, has four departments: archaeology, history, ethnology and natural sciences... but it is known for its mammoth skeleton(mammuthus trogontherii)! This specimen nicknamed "Kika", discovered at the site of the city's brick factory in 1996, represents one of the best preserved mammoth fossils in the world. Its life-size replica is a real attraction.
