CHURCH OF THE DORMITION OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

Built in 1746, one of the few Baroque churches built in Vojvodina before the mid-18th century, it is typical of small-town Orthodox churches, but above all it is built in the background, almost hidden. The reason? The Serbs, a minority, did not want to show off too much. The most recent iconostasis housed by the church was partly painted by Dimitrije Popović; after his unexpected death, the paintings were completed by his disciple Georgije Popović.
