ORTHODOX SEMINARY

The Orthodox Seminary is an elegant building that stands out in the center of the park, built in warm yellow and orange colors, typical of Central Europe. Built in 1794, the seminary had its heyday in the second half of the 19th century when, under the famous rector Ilarion Ruvarac, it hosted one of the first natural science departments in Europe. Today it is a typical and quiet boarding school, one of the most important in the Balkans, with more than 1,000 seminary students eager to join the Church.
