The inhabitants called him "the residence of the Grand chief". It is a very peculiar story that Celle, the head of the village to which he gave his name, located 10 km south of Gamboula, close to the Cameroonian border. One day, Bandjiforo took passion for a baobab that he planted in the heart of the village, repeating to whom he wants to hear him make his grave. Man, the force of nature, lived for a long time. So much so that the tree became big enough for Bandjiforo to be really buried. In accordance with his last will, a door was opened in the trunk after his death, and his family deposited his remains inside. Scars are still visible on the bark of this original burial. Since then, it has been a unique heritage for the inhabitants of Bandjiforo, who worship him as a sacred tree.
