THE ROYAL THIMPHU GOLF CLUB

This nine-hole course is located right next to the majestic Trashi Chho Dzong. It is one of the most remote courses in the world, but also one of the most winding. It offers a dazzling view of the Himalayan mountains. Brigadier General TV Jaganathan obtained permission from King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck to build a few holes in the late 1960s, and the course was officially inaugurated in 1971 with great fanfare as one of the first greens in Bhutan.
