Travel Guide Santa Catarina

A small fishing village of about 3,000 inhabitants, 16 km from Neves, Santa Catarina is the last inhabited area accessible by the northern road. Here again, dozens of rowing boats line the pebble beach, right in front of the huts. Notice the only tunnel of the island, which crosses a very small mountain and the plunging view on the bay which follows it. Santa Catarina marks the border with the extensive Monte Café plantation, which is located in the centre of the island. It is pleasant to stop in this small corner of the world to chat with the population always happy to see visitors.
