25 minutes by pirogue from Omboué, a magnificent 6-hour round trip through the forest that leads to small waterfalls where you can refresh yourself. This island bears the history of the establishment of the SIP (Société indigène de production), in 1869, after the arrival of the colonial administration, a large producer of palm oil which was used to grease the rails of the railways intended to load the wood. At the time of the forestry boom, the Léobalt et Thomas père et fils company settled there and built a house in the 1870s. In 1960, the Michonet family, merchants of the region, recovered this house, the remains of which can still be seen.
