Travel Guide Olende

About 2h30 by boat or 1h30 by car from Port-Gentil, Olendé is a small village, located just at the entrance of the Fernan Vaz lagoon. It was also called the Portuguese bar, which represented the bar of no return, at the time of slavery. Today, the mouth of Fernan Vaz is especially renowned for being an excellent fishing site, for tarpon among others. Fishing enthusiasts can try different techniques such as casting, surfcasting or fly fishing. During the season, from October to May, it is possible to stay in a camp, installed at 500 meters from the mouth, to enjoy the place to the maximum.
