Port-Gentil's oldest café, as evidenced by its colonial architecture and ultra-colorful woodwork, celebrated its centenary in 2024! People come here for a good cup of coffee with the Port-Gentil news, or for a bite to eat. It serves family-style European and African cuisine, including antelope à l'odika and calamari, as well as pizzas and grilled meats whose reputation is well established. You can dine in the large air-conditioned dining room or on the roadside terrace. Mostly female service, pleasant overall.

Le café du Wharf est l un de plus vieux restaurant de Port Gentil , datant de l epoque des forestiers pres de l embarcaderre sur le front de mer. La cusine est variée et l on peut egalement deguster des plats traditionnels (sanglier , crocodile, ...); les prix sont assez eleves et le restaurant attire peu de monde dans le contexte economique actuel (crise petroliere).
Ideally located near the pier to Libreville, Lambaréné and Omboué café Wharf does not keep promises that its colonial architecture lets hope. The service is slow, not always friendly and the approximate cuisine is expensive in comparison with quality.
