This restaurant was the first to open in Tortuguero. You just have to look at all the black and white photos hanging on the walls to realize the history of the place. You can chat with the owner, Miss Junie (who owns the hotel of the same name), whose mother, Miss Sibella Martinez, was one of the first Caribbean inhabitants of Tortuguero; she personally knew Archie Carr (famous American scientist)! The food is delicious even if we sometimes regret the small size of the portions.
