Since there is not much explanation about this beautiful site, in the middle of the woods (the explanatory panels are a little bit scarce and especially incomplete…), the services of a guide are really precious! They are many and will be happy to answer your questions. All the more so as international tourists are rare.

MONUMENT NATIONAL GUAYABO
site archéologique (apparemment le seul du Costa RIca) très intéressant

ancienne ville de plusieurs milliers d'habitants, occupée entre 1000 et 1500 après JC

quelques vestiges (chaussée pavée, place centrale, aqueducs) et vue sur l'ensemble

les pièces originales sont dans les musées de SAN JOSE

petite boutique (en face de l'entrée) avec quelques poteries
