MEMORIAL A LOS MARTIRES DE BARBADOS

This memorial was founded in 1978 as a tribute to the passengers killed in the bombing of a Cubana flight two years earlier, on October 6, 1976, near the coast of Barbados. Organized by Cuban extremist groups based in Miami and supported by the CIA, the bombing killed 73 people, including the entire Cuban junior fencing team returning from the U.S. Central Championships. There are three rooms with photos, documents and personal effects of the victims.
