THE MIDDLE OF SOMEWHERE

This café-boutique, run by Bill Herod, promotes the handicrafts of the ethnic villages (Bunong) of the region and allows the organization of treks in the surrounding forests, with visits to these same villages. Bill works in cooperation with Jack Highwood to save the elephants in the forest. The Bunong (or Phnong) rehabilitation project also includes a school and a community center, both located in town. This particular project operates within the framework of Village Focus Cambodia (NGO).
