It was started in 1970 as an annex of the big market specialized in vegetables and fruits. Even now the morning arrivals are impressive. You have to see buyers and sellers passing the goods from hand to hand, from the mother of a family to the owner of a restaurant. While you probably won't be shopping for souvenirs in this market, it is well worth the visit to see the local life.
