Opened in 1966, the Institut Français de Bobo-Dioulasso (formerly French Cultural Centre) has as its mission the promotion and dissemination of French language and culture to the people of Burkina Faso. It also plays an important role in supporting creative artists in Burkina Faso. Service of the French Embassy in Burkina Faso, FI is one of the main places of artistic and cultural dissemination in the city, with numerous concerts, dance and theatre shows, exhibitions, conferences, screenings of films, entertainment for the young public, etc. The media library also allows to discover the press of Burkina Faso and to follow French news.

Convivial terrace outside and *excellents* sandwiches with avocado at very reasonable prices.

Concerts, dance shows, plays and conferences are. On the other hand at ticketing they never the currency, which is quite painful...
You can eat there: omelettes are extras and food and drinks are not more expensive than elsewhere so it is a good starting point for them.
Only real flat: sometimes a little too the den of the " rastas" ... pity!
