Imagined by Mathias Lafon, who also has a magnificent art gallery in Ouagadougou, this restaurant pays tribute to the architectural and artistic beauties of West Africa. You can travel from one space to another, from the gourmet home to the Tuareg tent, from the box to the large Mauritanian lounge, surrounded by beautiful objects (furniture, masks, statues…), everything destined for sale. In this enchanting setting, you can enjoy a wide range of dishes. We can order the famous «Bush Taxi» and finish with a dazzle with mint tea. In aperitifs, tapas and cocktails are honored. A magical moment!

Best restaurant in Ouaga
The atmosphere was extraordinary in this more than 15 years restaurant which was renovated. Food is really excellent with multiple choice and great background music, and real singers on Friday and Saturday evening. Seems the restaurant is also opened at noon which I did not tried. Really loved everything and will come back !

le cadre est vraiment intéressant et l'organisation des tables est vraiment bien. Nous étions 5 et notre table était vraiment bien placé. Mon mix de poisson était très bon et mes collègue ont apprécié tous leur plat. Pensez à réserver car nous étions un jeudi soir et c’était déjà plein

Endroit sympa, mais on m'en avait tellement parlé que je m'en étais faite une autre idée. La carte est très, voir même peut-être trop, varié, si bien que la qualité des plats n'est pas toujours égale. Par contre, il est vrai que le cadre est très agréable, de même que l'accueil du proprio. Il faut au moins y faire un tour pour apprécié...

The GONDWANA causes opinions very contrasting on the quality of its cuisine. Then, I launch in my turn: the reputation of this restaurant is completely overrated. The cuisine is just acceptable, for the marked price. And some dishes, including the " chicken brésilien" I found anything of Brazil, neither with taste, nor the aroma. But it is true, the GONDWANA is definitely original. The reception of management, and I will say even the reception of those who, a moment or another, provided the function, is pleasant, friendly, pleasant. The service could do with a tour of picnic… Let us say Gondwana accepts cheques in euros. It is noticeable when one did not open account in the country.
