In the heart of the Encartaciones, a medieval market renowned throughout the region for its craft stands and entertainment!
For two days, the municipality of Balmaseda (in Bizkaia) travels back in time to the Middle Ages to celebrate its great annual market. Craftsmen, dressed in period costumes, display their products in the streets of the historic centre. It is an opportunity to admire the work of glassblowers, stonemasons, blacksmiths and other craftsmen. At the same time, knife throwing, balancing and snake charmer shows provide entertainment.
