On the other side of Tosa Bay, southwest of Kōchi, you can go to Ashizuri-Misaki Cape, located in Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park. It is the southernmost cape of Shikoku Island. Its grandiose coastline is composed of steep cliffs. The view is very impressive, especially thanks to the observatory and its 180 degrees view. The lighthouse, one of the largest in the archipelago, seems to dominate the cape and the Pacific Ocean. Again, visitors also go there to enjoy the local flora, with its many subtropical plants and camellias. A nice path of about 2 km runs along the coast.
