It is in this bay that the five lakes (five Mikata lakes) join the sea. In the vicinity, a number of old temples, such as Myōtsū-ji, Mantoku-ji and Jingū-ji, can be visited from Obama's port. You board ferries to explore the bay and the amazing views. Indeed, you will find ferries that will take you to Tsuruga (in Fukui-ken) or trains that will take you to Mikata, then Tsuruga.
