A small fishing village, Erimo-Misaki Cape, located 160 km southwest of Kushiro, offers superb views from its cliffs. A colony of about 300 seals has settled there. You can visit the Kaze-no-yakata lighthouse, which has been transformed into a wind museum (in Erimomisaki, the wind blows at more than 36 km/h, at least 290 days a year).
