Opened in 1936, the museum is located in Tennoji Park. It contains nearly 8,000 works, some of which are classified as "Important Cultural Properties". Its collections focus on Chinese and Japanese arts. Visitors can contemplate, for example, prints of the famous Hokusai, but also Chinese statues of Buddhas and nihonga paintings by well-known local artists. Temporary exhibitions are organized on a regular basis.
