This sanctuary is dedicated to the first official emperor of Japan, Emperor Jimmu, and to his wife, Himetatara Isuzu-Hime. It has benefited from the relocation of a number of buildings from the Impérial Imperial Palace. They are built in the Jingū Style style, which is a highly sacred character. The north of Unebi-yama can be seen in the tumulus surrounding the moat of Emperor Jimmu.
