Cathedral built in the Norman period allowing to admire some beautiful works of art.
Built in the Norman period, enlarged and remodelled after the 1783 earthquake, the cathedral has preserved a Gothic portal surmounted by a rose window on the façade; on the right, a 13th century portico with pointed arches. The left side is decorated with blind arcades typical of Norman architecture. Inside there are some beautiful works of art: a 15th-century black Crucifix of Spanish workmanship, a statue of the Madonna del Popolo of Montorsoli (1555), and, adorning the high altar, an image of the highly venerated Virgin of Romania, in Byzantine style, celebrated on 9 September.

Pas forcément le Dôme le plus riche de Calabre mais probablement le plus spectaculaire. La vue est magnifique et la plage d'à côté - à éviter en haute saison - offre un rafraîchissement bienvenu après la visite.
