Discreet hotel near the beach of Barú with spacious and semi-open rooms with sea view
A discreet house just a few meters from the beach. Six spacious, semi-open-plan bedrooms with sea views. Wood predominates, with a sober, tasteful decor. Nights are lulled by the sound of the waves, and the hammocks floating in the air are just waiting for you to take a nap. Olga, or her son Juan, who visits from time to time, speak French. Juan may tell you the story of his French great-grandfather, who arrived here between the two world wars, and found in these lands something to satisfy his explorer's curiosity.

The reception is excellent, and the many good opinions of travellers attest. Playa Manglares is an ideal setting for those who want to alternate their stay in Cartagena with a few days at the beach, the noise and tourist attractions. Note for seafood lovers: the best ceviches there is found (prawns marinated). Allow an extra for transportation (£27) but it is worth it.
