BIBLIOTECA PÚBLICA VIRGILIO BARCO

Next to Bolívar Park, the Virgilia Barco is one of the largest public libraries in Bogotá. Conferences are held there regularly. Named after a former president of the Republic, it is located in a pleasant setting of ponds and green spaces. The brick building with its characteristic circular shape was designed by the French-Colombian architect Rogelio Salmona. On the top floor, there is a beautiful view of the Cerros Orientales that border the capital.
